WASHINGTON STATE REPRESENTATIVES

Washington State Representative - Jean Harris

Jean Harris: I am a retired school teacher, having taught high school for thirty years. We started in rabbits over forty years ago when my sons were in 4-H. As they went off to college I seemed to inherit their rabbit projects. Of course they did not want me to get rid of any of their breeds. Presently I raise and show New Zealand blacks and broken blacks and Dutch.

I am a life member of ARBA, WSRBA and YVRBA. I have belonged to each of these clubs for forty years. I am President of Washington State Rabbit Breeders and Yakima Valley Rabbit Breeders. I have served on the Youth Scholarship committee and the Show Liaison committee for The American Rabbit Breeders. I also am a Director of the American Federation of New Zealand Rabbit Breeders and member of the American Dutch Rabbit Club and I am a Purina Rabbit Ambassador. ~ Jean Harris

Jan Coffelt - ARBA District Representative for Washington

Hello, My name is Janice Coffelt, however I am usually called Jan. I have been asked to serve as one of the State Representative for the State of Washington. I will tell you a little about myself.

I am a life member of the American Rabbit Breeders Association. I have raised and exhibited rabbits for over 40 years. I am an American Rabbit Breeders licensed judge and registrar. I have been involved in the rabbit industry all of my life, as my father and mother were commercial rabbit breeders when I was a child. I have served 14 years on the board of the American Rabbit Breeders Association. I have also served on many National ARBA Committees, such as Show Rules, Club Liaison, Commercial Committee and others. I have chaired and co-chaired two National Conventions and have been instrumental in the foundation of the Northwest Rabbit Breeders and the Great Northwest Rabbit Breeders. I have held offices in National, State and Local clubs.

I have raised many, many breeds and was the developer for the Blue Eyed White Mini Rex. At present I raise and exhibit Dutch, Polish, Jersey Wooly, and the new breed, the Lionhead.

I am honored to serve District One. If I can be of help to you in any way, please call upon me. If I don't have the answer to your questions, I will help you find the answer. ~ Jan Coffelt
