I would like to convey a belated "Thank You" for your confidence in me, shown by electing me as your representative to the ARBA Board of Directors.
My first live meetings were in San Diego. While I knew the board spent a lot of time locked in a room for these meetings, I really didn't appreciate the hours that are put in until I did it myself. Your ARBA executive board works very hard and tackles some very difficult decisions. I was impressed by the thoughtful insights from each director which help us reach decisions. We have a very cohesive group.
I hope that the District One Article in Domestic Rabbits Magazine has met your expectations. If you have news you would like to share via that article, please contact your nearest State Representative and ask that they include it in their bi-monthly report to me. I am happy to share news.
Your State Reps are also your first line of contact with the ARBA. Please contact them if you have issues you feel need to be addressed. Bear in mind that the ARBA does not get involved in personal disputes, pedigree or sales issues or the like.
We have a lot of members working toward registrar and judge licenses. It is an exciting time in our hobby as we welcome a new generation of judges to step in and take some of the load. Best of luck to all who are treading this most difficult path.
I hope to see you at a show somewhere.
